Pop Up Trailers

Camping out in a tent certainly has its advantages for the nature lover, but a pop up trailer is a whole step forward. And today’s pop up trailers or campers are pretty doggone nice. And they are getting nicer.

Before choosing one you need to decide what features you want in it.  Some come with cook stoves, baths, cabinets and the kitchen sink. Some have attached grills on the outside for cooking out. Then there are others just for sleeping mainly, and to keep the bugs off.

The new ones are quite nice, but may be more than you need. That’s for you to decide. Do not make a hasty decision. In fact, before you buy one, you may want to rent one and see if a pop up is for you.

You will want to make sure you can pull it easily with your vehicle and again renting one first will tell you a lot. How easy is it to set up and break down? You will be doing this a lot.

Get one that can sleep everyone and store the things you will need on your camping trip. And ease of set up is important. You should be able to get it done quickly, even in the rain or bad weather.

But some have a place for TV and are equipped with refrigerator and stove and are quite nice next to a tent on the ground.  And yes, some have air conditioning for those sticky nights by the lake.

There are a wide range of small campers on the market to fit almost any budget and family size. The pop ups are very popular. Check them out online is a good way to start. Go to a camping show in your area and then get back online to find the right price on a deal.

Other than pop ups you will also find small camper trailers to pull behind your vehicle. And even small campers to slide in the back of your pick-up. And small camper vans are another option available to you.

Again, size and layout is everything, but it is fair to say that there is one just for you and your family, just waiting for you to take it home.

If you’re thinking about a pop up try a few out first and see if you can live with it.  Then you may want to try a little larger trailer camper and compare the difference. You might be surprised at what you discover.

And once you get one and take it on a few trips, you’ll find that it gets in your blood and before you know it, that sleeping on the ground in a tent idea will fly out the window.

You might just find a whole new world starting with that pop up trailer.
